The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of foods (seafood, steaks, pizzas, and appetizers) in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, seasoning, and portioning meats, vegetables, and seafood according to recipe standards. Cooking: Operate commercial kitchen equipment including grills, deep fryers, pizza ovens, and sauté stations. Quality Control: Ensure all dishes are prepared to correct temperatures, plated attractively, and served promptly. Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized station. Adhere to all food safety and health department regulations regarding storage and handling. Teamwork: Coordinate with the kitchen manager and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service during peak dining hours. Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods, work in high-heat environments, and lift up to 50 lbs. Hours: Minimum 35 hours per week. ***RFI Response*** Duties include: Prepares and cooks menu items to ensure the highest quality and customer satisfaction. The establishment is mostly seafood based in the tourist beach destination in Alabama. The menu will comprise of seafoods, steaks and burgers. Meats will be cooked to the correct temperature and plated as such. Grills and fryers will be used to cook proteins and sides from scratch.
