As a landscape laborer, the worker will use power and hand tools such as lawn mowers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers to perform mowing, weed eating, shrub trimming, blowing, and installation of flowerbeds. Gather and remove litter. The worker will maintain lawns, as well as the installation of bushes and sod. The various duties to complete this involve digging, breaking up plants like root balls, and measuring. Workers will also perform winter cutbacks on perennials and plants in order to properly prepare lawns or landscapes for winter weather and new growth in the Spring. Workers are responsible for maintaining irrigation systems for flower beds, including winterizing the systems before temperatures drop below freezing to prevent damage.
