***RFI Response*** The original job duties remain accurate and are restated below with additional detail, as requested: A Concrete Laborer supports the construction crew by preparing worksites, setting up and dismantling concrete forms, placing reinforcement materials such as rebar or wire mesh, and assisting with the concrete pouring process. In performing these duties, the worker places, positions, ties, and secures steel reinforcing bars (rebar) and wire mesh within concrete forms according to layout markings and specifications. Tasks include measuring, cutting, bending, lifting, carrying, and positioning rebar or mesh to ensure proper spacing, alignment, and structural support prior to pouring concrete. The worker uses hand tools and equipment such as rebar tying tools, pliers, wire cutters, rebar benders, hammers, tape measures, levels, shovels, and wheelbarrows. The worker may also assist with operating or working alongside concrete-related equipment and machinery, including concrete mixers, concrete vibrators, screeds, and power tools, under supervision.
