We are seeking dedicated Gardeners to join our team in cultivating and maintaining various plants and landscapes. In this role, the Gardener will be responsible for manually planting, cultivating, and harvesting a variety of vegetation including vegetables, fruits, nuts, horticultural specialties, and field crops for landscaping purposes. The Gardener's primary duties will involve using hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives to perform essential cultivation tasks. The employee will till soil and apply fertilizers to ensure optimal growing conditions, transplant seedlings and plants between pots and growing areas, and perform critical maintenance activities including weeding, thinning, and pruning crops to promote healthy growth. Additional responsibilities include applying pesticides according to safety protocols, cleaning and maintaining work areas, and handling post-harvest activities such as grading, sorting, packing, and loading products. The Gardener's work will also encompass specialized tasks including cutting and transplanting seedlings, cuttings, trees, and shrubs for landscaping projects, as well as transplanting plants between pots and applying appropriate labels for identification. The employee will set up and operate irrigation equipment, maintain and repair both irrigation and climate control systems, and inspect plants and bud ties to assess quality standards. Physical infrastructure maintenance will be part of the Gardener's duties, including constructing trellises, repairing fences and farm buildings, and participating in various irrigation activities. The Gardener will be expected to maintain the grounds and overall landscape appearance while ensuring all equipment and systems function properly.
