Perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance activities, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming and shampooing carpets. Perform laundry tasks such as folding, sorting, and bagging and transporting clean linens using laundry carts. Clean and service rooms, kitchens, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other assigned common areas, ensuring they are maintained and inspected in accordance with established company standards. Protect and maintain vacuums, ensuring correct functioning and clean or replace filters as needed. Check stock levels of cleaning supplies, including mops, rags, and cleaning bottles, and replace as needed while also restocking consumable guest items such as toiletries, paper goods, soaps, and kitchen supplies. Notify supervisors of any damages, deficits, disturbances, or necessary room repairs and report lost-and-found items. Assist with minor maintenance tasks, including replacing batteries and changing filters in vacuum cleaners, hot tub vacuums, and other cleaning equipment, and performing basic upkeep such as replacing small items like remote-control batteries. Address complaints or requests from guests or supervisors with professionalism and patience, including delivering guest-requested items such as rollaway beds, baby cribs, and ironing boards. Clean and disinfect bathrooms, countertops, appliances, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures using approved chemicals; remove trash to designated disposal areas; make beds and change linens including sheets, pillowcases, blankets, and duvets; dust and polish furniture and fixtures; wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork; move and arrange lightweight furniture; turn mattresses; clean window blinds; and maintain housekeeping carts stocked, clean, and organized. Perform routine hot-tub cleaning and basic maintenance such as adding required chemicals, cleaning filters, draining or filing as directed, and removing debris. Adhere to health and safety rules and ensure compliance with all company practices, including proper chemical handling and lifting techniques.
