Their duties include: -Guest services: Greeting guests, assigning rooms, and providing information about the hotel -Reservations: Making and confirming reservations -Room keys: Issuing room keys and cards -Payments: Collecting payments from departing guests and posting charges to ledgers -Records: Keeping records of occupied rooms and guests' accounts -Communication: Transmitting and receiving messages, and answering guest inquiries -Problem-solving: Contacting housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems -Cleaning: Keeping the front desk area clean and presentable -Guest liaison: Serving as the primary guest liaison during their stay -Guest comments: Recording guest comments or complaints, and referring customers to managers as necessary
