***RFI Response*** 1. “Cleaning and maintaining common areas” refers to cleaning spaces that are not behind locked customer doors or specifically assigned to a guest or group of guests, including hallways and lobby areas that may need cleaning (e.g. vacuuming carpets, rugs, and draperies; sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping hard surfaces; cleaning the furniture, fixtures, equipment, and walls; moving furniture). This does not refer to groundskeeping duties or maintenance work. 2. “Dishes” refers to removal of dirty dishes from rooms, buildings, grounds, or hallways that are left by guests. 3. “Overnight guest rooms” refers to cleaning spaces that are behind locked customer doors or are specifically assigned to a guest or group of guests, including living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, dining areas, decks, and porch areas that may need cleaning (e.g. vacuuming carpets, rugs, and draperies; sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping hard surfaces; cleaning the furniture, fixtures, equipment, and walls; moving furniture). This does not refer to groundskeeping duties or maintenance work. 4. “Grounds” refers to cleaning spaces that are on the exterior of buildings, including patios and outdoor gather spaces that may need cleaning (e.g. sweeping the patio, cleaning outdoor furniture, and picking up cigarette butts). This does not refer to groundskeeping duties or maintenance work. 5. “Bathrooms” refers to cleaning the bathrooms within spaces specifically assigned to a guest or a group of guests as well as bathrooms not specifically assigned to a guest or group of guests (e.g. sweeping, scrubbing, disinfecting, and polishing toilets, sinks, baths, showers, fixtures, and bathroom items). ***Original Duties*** Various duties as assigned, such as cleaning and maintaining common areas/dishes, overnight guest rooms, grounds and bathrooms, changing/cleaning bed linens/towels, etc., vacuuming, removing trash, dusting, replacing shampoo/soap, etc., general cleaning/room assistance, waste disposal, delivering guest requests to rooms, etc.; and various front desk clerk duties as needed, including answering phones, greeting, registering, and assigning guests to rooms, issuing keys, handling luggage, processing payments, handling customer complaints and requests, and making and confirming reservations.
