***RFI Response*** Workers will operate hand and power tools of all types, including air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, and small mechanical hoists. Surveying and measuring equipment used includes tape measures, measuring wheels, laser levels, line levels, chalk lines, plumb bobs, string lines, and builder’s levels. These tools are used to measure distances, verify elevations and grades, establish straight lines, mark layout points, and confirm alignment of forms, trenches, walls, and concrete pours. Other equipment and instruments include hand levels, angle gauges, marking paint, and stakes used to mark excavation areas, footing locations, and construction boundaries. Workers will unload construction materials and clean and prepare worksites by removing loose soil, debris, and obstacles. Workers will dig trenches typically ranging from 12 to 36 inches in width and up to 6 feet in depth, depending on project requirements. Trenching work is performed using hand tools such as shovels, spades, picks, post-hole diggers, and trenching bars, as well as powered equipment including trenchers, compact excavators, skid steers, and earth tampers. Workers may also set braces or supports to stabilize trench walls and ensure safe excavation conditions. Workers will clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials generated during construction activities. Tasks include collecting broken concrete, excess soil, wood scraps, metal, packaging, and general construction waste. Cleanup is performed using hand tools such as shovels, brooms, rakes, wheelbarrows, and hand carts, as well as powered equipment such as skid steers, loaders, and dump trailers. Workers load debris into dumpsters, trucks, or designated disposal areas and maintain a clean and safe worksite throughout the construction process. ***Original Duties*** Workers will perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites.
