Landscaping and groundskeeping workers will perform a full range of basic landscape maintenance duties at outdoor properties in Florida. Workers will mow and edge lawns using walk-behind or riding mowers; trim and maintain grass areas; and use string trimmers, handheld blowers, and manual landscape tools to maintain clean and orderly grounds. Workers will plant, water, weed, and maintain flower beds and landscaped areas; remove leaves, branches, and natural debris from turf and hardscape areas; and collect and dispose of landscape refuse in designated locations. Workers will prune small shrubs and ornamental plants using hand pruners and manual shears only, following supervisor instructions on shape and height. Duties include cleaning walkways and building perimeters; raking mulch; replenishing mulch by hand; and assisting with basic landscape upkeep necessary to maintain safe and attractive grounds. Workers may load and unload tools, supplies, and bagged materials by hand, and may move wheelbarrows, hoses, and small landscape equipment around the worksite. All work is performed outdoors and involves repetitive walking, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in Florida weather conditions including heat, humidity, rain, and sun exposure. Transportation between the employer’s designated reporting point and the assigned worksites is provided at no cost to the worker.
