Duties involve assembling, fabricating, and manufacturing timber matting products in an assembly line method. The process involves cutting logs to size, joining the individual timbers by assembling thick timbers, nailing, drilling holes and bolting them together. Must be able to nail with hammers & sledges, operate hand & pneumatic tools like Sledgehammers, regular hammers, pry bars, chainsaws, nail guns, drills, and wrenches for bolts. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with manufacturing of timber matting products. Laborers shall perform a variety of tasks under close supervision of supervisory-level employees in manufacturing of timber matting products. Prolonged periods standing, bending and walking, and must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time.
