The duties of the housekeeper include cleaning guest rooms and public areas daily to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in accordance with brand standards. The housekeeper will make beds and change linens; remove dirty linens and replace with clean folded linens; dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum polish floors; clean and restock bathrooms; replenish guest room supplies; remove trash and dispose of waste properly; clean surfaces and furniture in rooms and public areas; report maintenance issues or damaged items; and ensure secure handling of guest property and housekeeping equipment. Housekeepers may be responsible for washing, drying, and folding laundry consisting of bedding such as sheets, pillowcases, and comforters, and towels such as hand towels, washcloths, bath mats, and bath towels, using commercial laundry equipment. Housekeepers do not perform any maintenance on laundry equipment, machines, and/or facilities. Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 25 lbs. No education, but one-month prior experience required. On-the-job training provided.
