Irrigation Specialists install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems for residential, commercial, and public landscapes, including reading site plans, measuring and preparing work areas, digging trenches, laying pipe, connecting valves, heads, and controllers, and testing systems for proper water distribution and coverage. Duties include troubleshooting leaks and clogs, repairing or replacing damaged parts, adjusting timers and water flow to seasonal needs, and ensuring efficient operation to conserve water and support healthy landscapes. Work requires use of hand and power tools, trenchers, and related equipment, is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, and involves physical labor such as lifting, bending, and digging while following safety procedures and working as part of a crew.
