WILL TRAIN TO PREPARE AND COOK MENU ITEMS THAT REQUIRE ONLY A SHORT PREPARATION TIME SUCH AS FRIED SEAFOOD PLATES AND ROLLS, FRENCH FRIES, ONION RINGS, SANDWICHES, BURGERS, HOT DOGS, CHICKEN, CHOWDER, SALADS. PREPARATION TIME IS 10 TO 15 MINUTES AND REQUIRES THE USE OF SPATULAS, KNIVES, AND OTHER KITCHEN UTENSILS AS NEEDED. OTHER DAILY FOOD PREPARATION INCLUDES ASSEMBLING COLD SANDWICHES, GRILLING HOT SANDWICHES, PREPARING AND PORTIONING SALADS (SUCH AS GARDEN, COLE SLAW). JOB DUTIES OTHER THAN COOKING INCLUDE: CLEANING THE WORK AREA, MAINTAINING UTENSILS AND COOKING EQUIPMENT, RESTOCKING AND MANAGING SUPPLIES, DATING AND ROTATING PERISHABLES. FOOD PREPARATION EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES INCLUDE FLAT TOP GRILL, KNIVES, SPOONS, FORKS, CUTTING BOARDS, PEELERS, POTS, PANS, FRYOLATOR, MICROWAVE. PRACTICE SANITARY FOOD PROCEDURES. ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING CLEANLINESS OF THE WORK AREA AND EQUIPMENT. SHIFTS REQUIRED TO WORK ARE: 10AM-5PM, AND/OR 3PM-10PM. AT LEAST 35 HOURS PER WEEK, 5 DAYS PER WEEK, DAYS AND SHIFTS MAY VARY. OVERTIME MAY BE AVAILABLE.
