Maintain lawns by mowing using ZTR mowers, backpack blowers, string and hedge trimmers; gather and remove litter; apply herbicides in drainage canals using motorized backpack sprayers. Mix pre-determined products and amounts for spraying such as roundup, Esplanade, Method, Oust or Polaris. Will be provided proper eye protection, gloves and apron when needed. Will conduct regular maitenance on equipment like greasing spindles and changing blades. Position does not require certification as all work is overseen by a supervisor with the appropriate applicators license. Involves loading and unloading tools and supplies and equipment weighing up to 45 lbs. Involves working outdoors in all types of weather. Involves extensive standing, sitting or walking. Involves frequent stooping or bending. Involves repetitive movements. Post Hire/Employer Paid Drug Test. Free housing and utilities at no cost and uniforms provided at no cost. Company vehicles can be used for grocery trips and errands on the way back from work for licensed drivers. Possibility of performance based raise, bonuses, overtime and Saturdays as required. Transportation provided to multiple worksites from central location in Baton Rouge, LA. 60 minutes of unpaid breaks throughout the day. Daily hours may vary between start and end times listed depending on weather or job assignments.
