RFI Response: Residential homes, and commercial buildings. Types of surfaces being built are wainscot, faces of homes/ commercial buildings, faces of fireplaces, and pavers on the ground for patios. 2) The only machinery masonry helpers will use are 80-gallon concrete mortar mixer, grinder, 5-gallon buckets to haul mortar to mason table, wheelbarrow to haul stone/ brick closer to the mason, shovels, cleaning tools such as brushes and rakes, staple guns, ladder, scaffolding set up and breakdown. 3) They will be making sure mason has all the materials he needs to make production run smoothly and faster. They will be using the above tools (#2) 4) They will use staple guns and attach tar paper and wire lath to the work area in preparation for the mason to set stone/ brick. Then they will set up scaffolding if needed and set up a mason table with mortar, brick/ stone, mason trowel, leveling tools. 5) Mason helpers will prepare cement for masons and haul it to where it is needed. 6) With these tools they will be cleaning excess mortar off of the brick/ stone. 7) Masonry helpers will not operate these types of machinery but will use them to load and unload tools such as scaffolding, mortar. The flatbed trailer is 7x18. that usually carries all materials on it and an enclosed trailer 7.5x16 that has all tools for job in it. Original JDs: Building structures with stone, concrete, and tile cutting. Sharpening and dressing materials, lifting, carrying, and placing prepared blocks. Constructing and repairing surfaces or structures. Preparing surfaces prior to beginning work. Fabricating, altering, repairing, and maintaining walls, sidewalks, street curbs, floors, bathroom showers, and sink counters. Partition maintenance and other related structures of surfaces. Mixing cement using hoes, cement-mixing equipment, and/or hand tools. Molding expansion joints and edging tools, joiners, and straightedge. Operating equipment such as forklifts, dump trucks, and flatbeds.
