As a cook, worker will prepare, season, and cook dishes such as soups, meats, vegetables, or desserts using various utensils in restaurants such as pots, pans, forks, spoons, spatulas etc. Worker will set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment such as pots, frying pans, measuring cups, and knives. Worker will keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen and check quality of ingredients. Worker will properly store food items at appropriate temperatures and ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end shift. Worker may order supplies, keep records and accounts, price items on menu, or plan menu. Rotate stock items according to established procedures. Worker will restock kitchen for the next shift.
