  Repair and install the roofs of buildings and residences using a variety of materials, including shingles, asphalt, and metal. Tear off existing roofing materials to the decking (plywood) and joists; replace damaged or rotting plywood or joists; install vapor barriers or layers of insulation per roofing plan specifications; install shingles, asphalt, metal, or other materials per roofing plans specifications; align roofing materials with edges of the roof; cut roofing materials to fit around walls or vents; and collect and dispose of roofing material waste and debris. Depending on experience, may serve as onsite crew leader of other roofers and helpers. Perform other repair tasks at worksite in connection with, or ancillary to, roofing projects such as gutters, windows, and other related repair. May engage in similar activities as noted above in response to customer service requests after installation of initial roofing system.
