Cooks will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items in a restaurant, all according to safety and sanitation standards, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment, observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils, bake breads, rolls, cakes, and pastries, maintaining kitchen work areas and equipment in clean condition, occasionally washing dishes and all cooking materials by machine or hand, and putting away food and other supplies and pulling from storage areas to stock the kitchen. Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 6:00am to 1:00pm, 9:00am to 4:00pm, or 2:00pm to 9:00pm. Shift hours may vary. Please see job description for additional information.
