Line Cooks will be responsible for preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients, cooking main dishes – meat and fish to temperature, and making desserts and appetizers, and preparing food using the recipes and menu items created by the Chef. Line Cooks will assist with stocking and setting up kitchen stations and plating prepared foods in a timely manner based on Chef’s guidance, work alongside the Chef to ensure that they are following the operational procedures of the kitchen, meeting food safety standards and regulations, and creating visually appealing dishes. Line Cooks may need to collaborate with other members of the kitchen staff to ensure that orders received are assigned to the correct stations and prepared simultaneously. Other responsibilities include washing dishes and all cooking materials by machine or hand, maintaining kitchen work areas and equipment in clean condition, sweeping and scrubbing floors, and sorting and removing trash. Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 8:00am to 3:00pm, 12:00pm to 7:00pm, or 3:00pm to 10:00pm. Shift hours may vary. Please see job description for additional information.
