***RFI Response*** The work zone would be either a parking lot or roadway whereby the Construction Laborer will use hand signals to direct traffic for a short period of time (approximately 5 minutes) to allow our trucks access to the job site. No signs are held by the Construction Laborer, and the activities are performed on an as needed basis. The crew cabs consist of a Ford F-250 or F-350. Approximately once per week, the Construction Laborer will wash the vehicles using soap, water, window cleaner, armor all, towels, and a pressure washer. Vacuums are used to clean the inside of the crew cabs. The Construction Laborer also fuels the crew cabs nightly. The Construction Laborer assists our skilled equipment operators by using shovels, asphalt rakes, plate compactors, and asphalt walk behind saws to better manipulate and transport the asphalt product during placement. The Construction Laborer needs to know when to rake and clean up loose materials for the equipment operators. The CDL Class A or B is preferred but not required and may be omitted from the job duties. A CDL is required to transport a pickup truck with a trailer hauling a skid loader. The foreman and equipment operators do this. ***Original F.a.2*** Perform tasks involving physical labor including but not limited to raking, shoveling, sweeping Operate hand tools & power tools Load/unload tools & equipment needed for the day Lubricate, clean, or repair machinery, equipment or tools Control traffic passing near, in, or around work zones Clean & fuel the crew cab Clean construction sites to eliminate possible hazards Train on additional duties and responsibilities as needs arise. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions Ability to lift 50 pounds Provide support and assistance to others working on the project Knowledge of asphalt paving – Preferred but not required Dependable/Reliable – Must show up for work on time Valid Driver’s License – Preferred but not required CDL Class A or B – Preferred but not required Pre-employment drug screen required Double H Paving, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
