**RFI Response** Plate compactors are small walk-behind machines with a base plate that compacts, levels, and stabilizes soil. Loaders are compact machines (model CAT 265, CAT 259, Bobcat MT85), and are used to lift, push, and transport materials, load landscaping supplies, materials, spread soil, level terrain, remove debris, install turf. Mini-excavators are small, tracked machines (model CAT 306) used for removing small stumps, roots, and rocks, shaping landscaping, and digging shallow trenches for irrigation/drainage. Passenger vehicles include pickup/crew trucks used to transport landscaping tools, materials, crews, and equipment to job sites. **Original** Responsible for all phases of landscaping maintenance, creation and installation of landscapes. This may include raking, edging, pruning, laying down mulch/topsoil and mowing turf areas. Assist in the installation of plantings of trees, shrubs, and annual flowers. Use an array of hand tools and gas-powered tools and equipment, including mowers, string trimmers, air blowers, plate compactors, loaders, mini-excavators, and shears. May operate passenger vehicles.
