To create a positive and enjoyable dining experience for the guests. Serve/deliver food and beverage products to guests at various resort outlets. Stay informed about menu items, ingredients and any updates and changes. Assist with opening/closing of restaurant/food and beverage area; set up/clean/tear down workstation and tables; prepare side work; prepare hot, cold, and mixed drinks for patrons; fill water glasses, take guest order and input into system, advise kitchen personnel of items ordered, server/deliver requested items and present check to guest; follow proper cash handling procedures, clear table. The employer will offer 35 hours of work per week. Open 7 days a week, 5-day work schedule varies Sunday through Saturday. Shift times vary, including 6am-1:30pm, 3pm-10:30pm, 4:30pm-12am. Shifts include 30 minutes unpaid break time. Other 7-hour day and evening shift times possible/may be required. Workdays, hours, and shift times may vary with occupancy. Tipped position with guaranteed basic wage rate of $11.93 per hour. Allowed tip credit applied per FLSA guidelines to meet prevailing wage for hours worked when allowed tip credit does not make hourly wage equal to or exceed the prevailing wage of $11.93 per hour. Employer may increase wage based on experience, changes in market conditions, and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure. Overtime may be available with management approval. An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours in a workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at $17.90 per hour. The regular rate will be computed by adding together total earnings for the workweek from all sources, excluding tips received in excess of the tip credit, then dividing that number by the total hours worked in the workweek. If the regular rate exceeds $11.93 per hour, the employer will pay the difference between $11.93 and the regular rate during an overtime week. The employer will provide daily transportation from housing to and from the worksite.
