Assist with pouring, smoothing, and setting of blacktop and asphalt on roads, pathways, and in parking lots. Rake, sweep, and line out the roads and parking lots, and work alongside tractors, mills, pavers, and screeds. Help prepare pavement saws and measure lines and cleanup daily, offload trucks and gather tools, shovel, rake, and sweep general surfaces, operate wheelbarrows on blacktop and stone, maintain the cleanliness of equipment and worksites, and occasionally flag or direct traffic near working crews.
