Duties may include: Assist cooks in preparing and cooking pizzas, appetizers, and a variety of other foods such as meats, soups, salads, dressings, and desserts, using approved procedures. Wash, peel, cut, weigh, and portion ingredients as needed, using manual or electric appliances. Ensure all food is cooked thoroughly and meets temperature requirements. Portion and package take-out orders, or plate food for service to patrons. Stock, receive, and store food and supplies in designated containers and storage areas. Retrieve needed items from storage areas as requested. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and bar areas. Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware. Load dishes, glasses, and tableware into dishwashing machines. Scrape leftovers, remove trash, and clean kitchen garbage containers. Sweep and mop kitchen floor. Inform supervisors when food and supplies are running low or when equipment is not functioning properly & other related Kitchen Staff activities as per SOC/OES 35-2021 (onetonline.org). Standard/Expected Schedule: Monday-Friday 10:00AM-6:00PM. Offering 40+ (plus) hours per week; not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Employees can be expected to work various shifts. Weekly schedule may vary. Open 7 days a week. Up to 7-hour shifts are standard. Possible weekend/holiday work. Start/end times, offered hours and/or overtime could vary as they may be dependent upon other factors such as project/schedule/service needs, weather, and commute time between worksites (if applicable). Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed).
