Job description: laborer to provide assistance in the preparation, installation, repair or rebuilding of tile, brick or stone surfaces. Workers will assist skilled construction or extraction personnel, cut materials to instructed/specified sizes for installation using power saws or tile cutters, and mix substances to prep for work activities. Tasks Include the following: Assist skilled construction or extraction personnel Cut materials to instructed/specified sizes for installation using power saws or tile cutters Mix substances to prep for work activities Move construction or extraction materials to locations where they are needed Prepare surfaces for finishing. Correct surface imperfections or fill chipped, cracked or broken stone using fillers, adhesives or grouting materials. Remove excess materials from finished construction projects. Maintain construction tools or equipment. Apply sealants or other protective coatings. Apply material to fill gaps in surfaces. WORK SITE: 6716 Rosewood Street, Anchorage, AK 99518, with work also performed in the following counties: Matanuska-Susitna Borough, and the following BLS area: Anchorage, AK. The employer will provide daily transportation to and from the work site at no cost to the worker. Use of transportation is voluntary. Employer provides daily transportation between work sites. Basic wage rate is $23.91/hr. An overtime premium at the rate of, $35.87/hr., will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours in a work week. The employer may offer raises/bonuses to temporary employees hired under this job order, at the company's sole discretion, based on individual factors such as performance, skill, and job tenure. Wages will be calculated based on a single workweek. Employees will be paid weekly.
