Duties may include: Under supervision, check the forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed. Wet surface to prepare for bonding. Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete, and move chute to direct concrete on forms. Spread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float. Operate power vibrator to compact concrete. Install base plates and anchors in concrete, installation of materials/embeds into forms and concrete, fine grading and prepping of ground for concrete to be poured, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete. Operate power tools such as rebar tie guns, screeds, power trowels, finishing tools, drills, and hammers for forming, preparing, and pouring concrete. Possible driving company pickups/passenger vehicles to and from jobsites & other related Cement Masons and Concrete Finishers activities as per SOC/OES 47-2051 (onetonline.org). Standard/Expected Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30AM-5:30PM. Offering 40+ (plus) hours per week; not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Possible weekend/holiday work. Start/end times, offered hours and/or overtime could vary as they may be dependent upon other factors such as project/schedule/service needs, weather, and commute time between worksites (if applicable). Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed).
