***RFI Response*** (1) – “public areas of the Inn” The public areas referred to are the hallways, the lobby area and the public non guest room bathroom. The tasks and equipment are the same as for cleaning the guest rooms and guest room bathrooms. The housekeepers vacuum carpeted areas and rugs, clean hard floors, dust or wipe down surfaces. Tools and items used to perform this work are a vacuum, mop; dusting cloth, wipe-down cloth, and sponge. Products used are spray furniture polish; general surface cleaner, glass cleaner, and toilet bowl cleaner. (2) - "Clean hotel guest rooms, bathrooms.” The housekeepers clean the guest rooms and bathrooms in typical hotel fashion by vacuuming and cleaning the various surfaces in the room and bathroom as well as changing linens in the room (sheets and towels) and making the bed(s). For the public bathrooms not part of guest rooms, the cleaning process is exactly the same as a private guest room bathroom.
