Duties may include: Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction and landscaping worksites. Clean or prepare worksites to eliminate possible hazards. Operate jackhammers or drills. Dig ditches or trenches. Compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, and pneumatic tampers. Under the direct supervision and guidance of Cement Masons, position or dismantle forms for pouring concrete in preparation to assist with mixing, pouring, spreading, and smoothing concrete using finishing tools. Landscape or maintain grounds by mowing or edging lawns, and pruning and trimming trees. Rake, mulch, and compost leaves. Use hand and power tools, such as hammers, rakes, axes, sod cutters, shears, hedge or brush trimmers, pruners, power mowers, or edgers. Lubricate, clean, or repair machinery, equipment, or tools & other related Construction Laborer activities as per SOC/OES 47-2061 (onetonline.org). Standard/Expected Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00AM-2:30PM. Offering 40+ (plus) hours per week; not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Possible weekend/holiday work. Start/end times, offered hours and/or overtime could vary as they may be dependent upon other factors such as project/schedule/service needs, weather, and commute time between worksites (if applicable). Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed).
