Duties may include: Care for established lawns by mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, aerating, watering, weeding, fertilizing, raking, removing thatch, litter, leaves, and debris. Prune or trim trees, shrubs, foliage from ground level and maintain flower beds. Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to plant bulbs, flowers, foliage, grass, ground cover, seeds, shrubs, sod trees or place artificial grass. Install, repair, and maintain landscape drainage, edging, mortarless segmental concrete wall units, and sprinkler systems. Haul, spread, and grade topsoil or straw over seeded soil to help with erosion control and drainage mitigation. Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots or other grounds features. Shoveling snow and spreading salt. Use hand tools such as broadcast spreaders, pruners, rakes, shovels and wheelbarrows. May operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as small work trucks with utility trailers, edgers, leaf blowers, mowers, trimmers, snow blowers, sod cutters & other related Landscape Laborers activities as per SOC/OES 37-3011 (onetonline.org). Standard/Expected Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-2:00PM. Offering 35+ (plus) hours per week; not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Possible weekend/holiday work. Start/end times, offered hours and/or overtime could vary as they may be dependent upon other factors such as project/schedule/service needs, weather, and commute time between worksites (if applicable). Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed).
