- Offer description:
**RFI Response** All of Emerald Sun hotels rooms have exterior door entry directly onto the common walkway for that specific floor. Housekeepers and housemen utilize this space to discard linen, garbage and for their respective carts while they are cleaning the room. Personnel will pick up linen and waste; remove their carts and use a broom and mop to clean the area. In addition, certain housekeepers will be assigned to check on the elevators periodically to keep the floors clean and dry. They will utilize brooms, mops and/or squeegees. If walls in the rooms have a dirty "spot" (example: a guest squirted ketchup, it hit the wall, and the guest did not clean) we do not require that the whole wall be cleaned. We require the "spot" to be cleaned/removed. Typically, a piece of cloth with detergent can be used to accomplish spot cleaning a wall. During a "hotel room service" for guests staying over, windows may need sprucing up. Perhaps they have a smudge or fingerprint on the window. This will detract from our greatest asset, the beautiful ocean view from each room. Windex and a cloth and/or squeegee are typically used for this task. **Original** Entry level positions. Will clean rooms and common areas; launder and run linens at our resorts. Duties include performing any combination of the following tasks: dust and clean window dressings, furniture, and other surfaces; hang drapes; sort, count, fold, mark, or carry linens; turn mattresses and make beds; move and arrange furniture; clean and polish metalwork and porcelain bathroom fixtures; spot-clean walls and windows; mop and/or vacuum; empty wastebaskets and remove trash; remove soiled linen for laundering; replenish room supplies; clean walkways and elevators; report needed repairs of equipment, furniture, building and fixtures; and keep assigned work areas clean and in orderly fashion. Shifts vary: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
