EarthView® is a unique program dedicated to sustainable hospitality. EarthView® delivers environmental and conservation programs that positively impact a hotel operation's bottom line while simultaneously improving the well-being of guests, employees, communities, and our planet. The program and guidelines track and manage the hotel's energy, water, and waste impact. All duties are carried out within the resort and the restaurant is on the resort property. The employee will be directly waiting on customers. EarthView is HHM's (HHM Hotels) Sustainability and Innovative Practices. The servers do not do any bartending tasks. They would only be taking the drink orders and ringing them up in the POS system. Bartenders are exclusively responsible for making all drinks. Opening includes setting up tables with clean linens, silverware, and place settings. Folding napkins and placing them on tables. Wiping down menus and ensuring that they are clean and in menu holders. Restocking server stations with necessary supplies. Restocking tabletop necessities like sugar packets, ketchup, salt, and pepper shakers. Closing includes wiping down and sanitizing tables, chairs, and all high-touch surfaces. Tucking chairs in, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning entryway floors, Restocking tabletop necessities. Running duties would consist of taking food and beverage orders and placing orders in the point of service system. Ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Setting and clearing tables in dining areas. Stocking service stations with items such as ice, napkins, condiments or straws. Picking up orders from food preparation areas and ensuring food is prepared accordingly. Preparing guest check and if appropriate completing payment transaction. Completing pre-shift, running, and post shift side-work requirements. Employees would not be responsible for bookkeeping tasks or bank deposits. Follow recipes to prepare food items accordingly. Wash, peel, and cut fruits and vegetables; cut, trim, or clean meat. Prepare appetizers, salads, or cold dishes. Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods. Bake breads, rolls, or other baked goods. Portion, arrange, and garnish food to be delivered to guests. Maintain clean and sanitized work areas such as cutting boards, counters and work spaces. Secure and store food items properly. Follow safe food handling procedures. Follow guidelines related to sustainability practices related to HHM’s EarthView program. Practice safe work habits and wear protective safety equipment. Perform other duties as requested by management. Take food and beverage orders and place orders in the point of service system. Set and clear tables in dining areas. Stock service stations with items such as ice, napkins, or straws. Pick up orders from food preparation areas and ensure food is prepared accordingly. Prepare guest check and if appropriate complete payment transaction. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional presence at all times. Follow food and beverage preparation and usage instructions to minimize waste. Work within policy to accommodate guests’ special food and drink requests. Report all unsafe or malfunctioning equipment, safety hazards, or maintenance problems to management. Ability to multi – task with the needs of the business. Adheres to appearance, hygiene and uniform standards. Responsible for opening, closing and running duties of cash handling policies and cash out process. Adhere to all internal controls, policies, and procedures. Attend all department and meetings.
