Crew Leader will lead and supervise a crew of landscape maintenance laborers on assigned routes and job sites. Crew Leader will drive company truck with trailer to transport crew, tools, and materials to and from job sites and oversee and perform routine grounds maintenance duties including: Mowing turf areas using commercial mowers, string trimming around trees, posts, fences, and other obstacles, edging along sidewalks, curbs, and beds, blowing off sidewalks, driveways, and other hard surfaces, trimming hedges and shrubs to maintain shape and appearance, and weeding, mulching, raking, and maintaining landscaped beds. Crew Leader will ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to company quality standards, train and coach crew members on proper techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures, and maintain and inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are clean, functional, and stored properly. Crew Leader will monitor worksite safety and enforce company safety policies and OSHA compliance. Crew Leader will communicate daily with supervisors regarding job progress, issues, and client feedback and keep accurate records of job completion, labor hours, and material usage as required. Workers may be asked to drive company vehicles in order to move equipment and materials if the worker has a valid driver’s license.
