***RFI Response*** The position of Assembler is responsible for operating any of the following production machinery involved in the assembly of erosion control blankets: MST-16’ Blanket Machine-2018 Model (Electrically and pneumaticly sourced); MST-16’ Blanket Machine-2006 Model (Electrically and pneumaticly sourced) with installed 2023 Model Stitcher; International Baler Corp. waste straw baler (Electrically sourced); MST Dual Wattle Line (Electrically and pneumaticly sourced) equipped with wattle winder; Sullair 1509 E Air compressor for Main Plant -2013 Model (Electrically sourced); Atlas Air Compressor for the Wattle Machine - 2007 GX4 (Electrically sourced); MST Dust Collectors for 16’ Blanket Machines – (Electrically and pneumatically sourced). While operating the equipment, assemblers perform quality checks using measuring tools, scales, visual observations. As included in ONET classification 51-2092.00 Team Assemblers, assemblers perform quality checks on production and parts to ensure operating safely and maintaining a quality product. Any faulty equipment is reported to the supervisor for repair. The raw materials maintained by assemblers are straw, coconut fiber, wood fiber, poly fiber, various types of netting, threads, banding, strapping, stretch film, labels, wire, and twine. ***Original F.a.2*** Workers will use straw and/or coconut fiber and a plastic or jute netting to assemble an erosion control blanket, using an industrial sewing machine. Assigned to specific task to assemble raw materials to make finished goods. Responsible for operations of production machinery, maintain raw material for assembly, accountable for quality control, placement of labeled completed product into stock while keeping work area clean.
