Workers will use differing machines and be assigned different manual tasks for creations of erosion blank or silt fence. Workers will use straw and/or coconut fiber and a plastic or jute netting to assemble an erosion control blanket, using an industrial sewing machine. Assigned to specific task to assemble raw materials to make finished goods. Responsible for operations of production machinery, maintain raw material for assembly, accountable for quality control, placement of labeled completed product into stock while keeping work area clean. Workers will also assemble silt fence on a machine that rolls fabric and staples stakes to the fabric. Workers will assemble anchors manually using pieces of wire (less than 10 feet long) and ferrule and spring assemblies. Responsible for counting and boxing pins that are manufactured off of a production line.
