Duties may include: Maintain work areas by removing brush, debris, limbs, litter, rocks, shrubs, sticks, and weeds. Raking, gathering, piling, rolling and baling pine straw. Lifting and stacking pine straw bales onto small utility trailers. Use hand tools such as pruners, rakes and shovels. May operate powered equipment and vehicles including John Deere 1 and 2-series subcompact tractors with baling attachment and small work trucks with utility trailers & other related Groundskeeper activities as per SOC/OES 37-3011 (onetonline.org). Standard/Expected Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:00PM. Offering 40+ (plus) hours per week; not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Possible weekend/holiday work. Start/end times, offered hours and/or overtime could vary as they may be dependent upon other factors such as project/schedule/service needs, weather, and commute time between worksites (if applicable). Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed). Piece rate may apply: worker will never make less than Prevailing Wage/Federal/State/local minimum wage. Piece rate standard as follows: $0.75 per roll/bale raked, $0.20 per roll baled, $0.30 per roll/bale loaded. Production standard is 750-1000 pieces per person per week.
