Workers typically perform a variety of tasks for commercial construction projects: Workers may pour concrete/cement into forms. Carry, hold, position and remove forms when material set using saws, hammers, nails or bolts. Spread, level and smooth concrete/cement using hand tools, to include rakes or shovels. Smooth, form, and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools, such as hand and power trowels. Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutters; patch voids; and use saws to cut expansion joints. Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes. Workers may operate equipment used for applying concrete, asphalt, or other materials to roadbeds, parking lots, or airport runways and taxiways or for tamping gravel, dirt, or other materials. Includes concrete and asphalt paving machine operators, form tampers, tamping machine operators, and stone spreader operators. Cean work sites/equipment. Load/unload equipment from trucks.
