In this role, the individual is responsible for training new hires, ensuring their readiness for assigned roles. They supervise the procurement process, handling supply orders from various vendors, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating employee shifts. They take charge of customer satisfaction and promptly addressing concerns. This position is instrumental in designing essential materials, including order forms and workflow documents. The individual's intimate familiarity with our historical building is indispensable, especially in addressing issues such as water or electrical outages. Furthermore, the role entails expertise in baking signature items for our business, including breads, pastries, cookies, and brownies. The position also manages the organization of menus for weddings and special events. This business is a small seasonal business, with normally 6-8 employees in a remote area with the closest city center being 90 miles away. The town consists of approximately 250 year round residents with no real local labor source. This business, as well as the surrounding businesses, are wholly dependent on J-1 Visa workers every summer due to the lack of local population to recruit employees and the seasonality of the type of employment.
