Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Lay sod, mow, trim/edge, plant, weeding, watering, rake, blow leaves; use a hand shovel to dig holes for installing plants, trees, shrubs, or irrigation systems; these holes can be up to 24 inches depth and 36 inches in width. Spread seed, fertilizer and mulch; works on the ground to prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using shears, pruners, or chain saws; core aerating; sprinkler installation/repair, installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units and stones/pavers. Maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning. May drive company truck or other vehicle. Employer will offer 42.5 hours of work per week, Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm. Shift includes a 1-hour unpaid break time. Work may be required on Saturday. Hours and workdays may vary depending on workload and weather conditions. Employer may increase wage based on experience, changes in market conditions, and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure. Overtime is required. An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours per workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at $28.50 per hour. Employer will provide daily transportation from main worksite in Davenport, IA to and from all worksite locations.
