Duties may include: Care for established lawns and landscapes by mowing, edging, raking, mulching, watering, aerating, pruning, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch/litter, or trimming around flower beds, walks, or walls. Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, topsoil, and/or straw, sow grass, or plant flowers or foliage. Use hand and/or gardening tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, handsaws, hedge or brush trimmers, mowers, electric clippers, or sod cutters. Maintain tools and equipment. Maintain irrigation systems, including winterizing the systems and starting them up in spring. Pour the proper amount of fertilizer liquid (or granules) into the designated container and fill the rest of the container with water to make the solution, then spray it onto grass, trees, or shrubs as necessary. Install rock gardens, planters, and mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units & other related Landscape Laborer activities as per SOC/OES 37-3011 (onetonline.org). Standard/Expected Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30AM-4:00PM. Offering 40+ (plus) hours per week; not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Possible weekend/holiday work. Start/end times, offered hours and/or overtime could vary as they may be dependent upon other factors such as project/schedule/service needs, weather, and commute time between worksites (if applicable). Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed).
