Prepare and cook to order a variety of foods from a set menu to order or for the buffet line. Duties include preparing and cooking individual orders, preparing and cooking large quantities of food items for the buffet lines and banquet events; keeping food items prepped and stocked during the shift; set up and breakdown of food stations including washing dishes and mopping floors. Cooks will set up the food items as well as individual ingredients needed for the shift into the hot and cold holding stations on the line that are needed to prepare/cook the menu items. Cooks will restock these items throughout their shift as needed. At the end of the shift, cooks will disassemble the line which includes proper storing, labeling and refrigerating leftover items that may be used again. Breaking down the line also involves discarding hot and cold items remaining on the line that may not be used for future shifts. All holding bins will be washed, sanitized and stored properly so they are ready for the next meal shift. Operates ovens, fryers, grills, warming units and dishwashing machines.
