***RFI Response*** worker will assist permanent employees that build retaining walls or fences by: clearing the area of vegetation, topsoil, and debris. -the worker will use rakes, shovels, and brush trimmers in order to do this -the worker will not have any responsibility for selecting the types of pesticides or herbicides to be used. -the worker will not determine the appropriate chemical composition to apply for job duties. - the workers are supervised by a state licensed pesticide applicator when using any pesticides. ***Original F.a.2*** Use hand or power tools or equipment. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, weeding, mulching, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, and installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units. Install retaining walls, or fences. Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes. Load and unload trucks. Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, or chainsaws. Supplying and holding materials, tools, and equipment, assisting with cleaning of work areas and assisting with the blowing of straw and seeding, and assisting while permanent employees hammer wooden pegs into the ground for silt fence installation; and by stacking materials. Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders. Clean facilities or sites. Load and unload trucks. Use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste and ensure plant health. Assist in the installation of irrigation systems and other landscape features. Follow best practices for sustainability and eco-friendliness. Maintain or repair tools, equipment.
