Duties may include: Care for established lawns by mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, raking, composting leaves, aerating, weeding, removing thatch, litter, leaves and debris. Deadhead, prune, or trim flowers, foliage, plants, shrubs and trees. Plant grass, seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowers, ground covers, shrubs, and trees. Haul or spread landscape material such as mulch, rock and topsoil. Water/irrigate lawns, plants and trees using portable sprinkler systems, hoses or watering cans. Provide proper upkeep to sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters, or other grounds features. Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruners, shears, and wheelbarrows. May operate powered equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, edgers, pruning saws and leaf blowers. Occasional snow shoveling from walks, driveways or parking lots with hand shovels or small hand blow. Clean worksite to ensure safety & other related Landscape Laborer activities as per SOC/OES 37-3011 (onetonline.org). Standard/Expected Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-4:00PM. Offering 40+ (plus) hours per week; not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Possible weekend/holiday work. Start/end times, offered hours and/or overtime could vary as they may be dependent upon other factors such as project/schedule/service needs, weather, and commute time between worksites (if applicable). Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed).
