*** RFI Response *** Issue 1 (regarding operating "a variety of other equipment and instruments.”): Equipment to use will be light equipment such as jumping jacks, plate tampers, demolition hammers, diamond grinding equipment, portable generators, hand trucks, diamond grinders, backpack blowers, chainsaws, power washers, grass mowing machines, lutes, rakes, shovels, power drill, core drilling machines, chipping guns, high pressure hoses, paddle mixers and other light simple equipment that do not require specialized or extensive training to use. Issue 2 (regarding “May assist other craft workers.”): May assist carpenters by installing modular scaffolds that the carpenters will use, hauling lumber, form materials and staging them near the carpentry work. May assist carpenters to lift, hold in place heavy items such as doors, windows, drywall, metal studs while carpenter aligns, joints, fastens materials in place. May assist Masons by installing modular scaffolds, hauling CMU blocks, cement bags and staging them near the Masonry work. May assist Mechanics by power washing heavy equipment prior to repair. May assist iron workers by installing modular scaffolds, hauling rebars or lighter steel fabrication, and staging them near the final rebar work location. May assist iron workers to lift, hold in place heavy items such as rebars while iron workers aligns, joints, fastens materials in place. May assist plumbers to lift, hold in place heavy items such as steel piping while plumber aligns, joints, fastens materials in place. Issue 3 (regarding “May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris and other waste materials.”): Tools used include shovels, picks, rakes, tampers, hammers, chisels, crow bar, sledge hammers, hand trucks, adjustable wrenches, bar levels, wheelbarrows, trolleys. Power tools such as drills, demolition hammer. Operate light pickup trucks, operate gas engine equipment such as chain saws, wood chipper, grass cutters, portable generators, power washers, power blowers, air compressors. *** Original F.a.2 *** Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types such as air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.
