  Duties may include: Remove undesirable growth in urban areas using chainsaws and replanting with bushes and other plants and trees native to the surrounding area, plant trees and other local vegetation by planting and tamping soil to ensure proper rooting. Once planted, workers will spray herbicide/insecticide as required, set tubing, mow. IF NECESSARY (ONLY IN THE EVENT OF IFPL LEVEL IV OR AN UNFORSEEN FIRE) AND UNDER THE DIRECT SUPERVISION OF FIRE SUPPRESSION OFFICERS OR FORESTRY TECHNICIANS: fire mop-up duties such as utilizing hand tools such as shovels & pulaskis to dig and turn over debris, clearing/disposing of brush, piling, and digging line or construction of fire breaks & other related Forestry Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-4011 (onetonline.org).
