Perform variety of attending duties at traveling carnival. Set up, tear-down, operating mobile food concessions by taking orders and serving food and beverages, setting up, tearing down game concessions. Details of tasks that may be involved in this position: Mobile game concessions are typically mounted in a trailer. A supervisor would position the trailer(s) at a specific location on the grounds, unhitch the power unit from the trailer, & move the power unit away from the game concessions trailer. The awning that is closed during transit would be opened. Gaming items (air guns, water guns, darts, etc., as appropriate for the game) would be positioned. Plush toys and/or game appropriate prizes would be positioned / displayed. Signage, illumination, seating (if any), railings (if any), fencing (if any) would be positioned. Teardown would simply be these duties being handled in the reverse order & items being stored & secured for transit to the next location. Taking orders and serving food and beverages, preparing food and beverages, may take payment, serving customers at the counter or steam table, and may maintain cleanliness of the dining area. May communicate with customers regarding orders; scrub counters, steam tables, and other equipment and clean fountain equipment; perform cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping and washing serving devices, to keep equipment and facilities sanitary; serve food, beverages, or desserts to customers attending fair or festival; prepare daily food items, and prepare simple foods and beverages and other fair foods; wrap menu items for serving; set up dining areas; and prepare and serve beverages and deserts.
