The Sauce Preparation Worker will focus primarily on preparing ingredients for making sauces to be bottled and sold in retail and assisting cooks in preparing those sauces. The worker will also assist in day-to-day kitchen preparation as needed. Key Responsibilities: Ingredient Preparation: • Wash, peel, chop, and prepare vegetables and other ingredients according to recipes and standards. • Accurately weigh and measure ingredients, following portion control guidelines. • Store prepared ingredients properly for sauce cooking • Maintenance: • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes. • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring proper food storage • Stock food supplies, beverages, and condiments, keeping inventory organized and accessible. Food Safety and Sanitation: • Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations. • Maintain proper hygiene and handwashing practices. • Ensure food is stored and handled correctly to prevent spoilage and contamination.
