PERFORM A VARIETY OF ATTENDING DUTIES AT AMUSEMENT FACILITY (TRAVELING CARNIVAL CONCESSIONS), SERVE CUSTOMERS IN EATING PLACES THAT SPECIALIZE IN FAST SERVICE AND INEXPENSIVE CARRY-OUT FOOD CARNIVAL SETTINGS FOOD STAND, ON-SITE CLEAN AND ORGANIZE, PREPARE SIMPLE DAILY FOOD ITEMS AND BEVERAGES-TYPICAL CARNIVAL FOODS SUCH AS SANDWICHES, SALADS, SOUPS, CORN-DOGS, PIZZA, USING PROPER SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND SANITARY MEASURES. SET-UP STOCK/CLEAN AND READY FOR SERVICE, TEAR-DOWN PACK UP STOCK AND CLOSE DOWN BOOTH, HEAVY LIFTING & PHYSICALLY MOBILE, OPERATE FOOD CONCESSIONS AND OR GAMES AND AMUSEMENT RIDES. Hours, schedule and days vary - typically working a 9-hour shift between 11am – 9pm, 1pm-11pm with a10hour unpaid break; 36- 48hrs./wk. extra hours may be required or available, may include weekends and holidays. Work needs (i.e., hours, days, schedule, location, and work positions) vary. Work needs subject to industry practice and are not guaranteed per day, per week, per schedule, per location, or per worker, e.g., rainouts, brief periods without scheduled events, event dates and hours set by agreement with sponsor and subject to change (based upon adverse weather, hours of operation, day of the week, attendance, size of the event, school schedules, amount of equipment in operation, staffing, etc.), and unforeseen cancellations. In the event of approved, overlapping events, work needs may cause workers to be adjusted. Pay varies based on location of each worksite, $16.63 to $20.92. In Arizona, no overtime premium will be paid as it is not required under Federal, State, or local law. In California, an overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after eight hours in a day and for the first eight hours on the seventh consecutive day of work in a workweek; at double-time after 12 hours in a day and for all hours worked in excess of eight on the seventh consecutive day of work in a workweek; and at time-and-a-half after 40 hours in a workweek. In Oregon and Washington, an overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours per workweek. In Nevada, an overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time- and-a-half after 40 hours per workweek and after 8 hours in a single workday. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at $24.99 to $41.84 per hour based on locality the work is performed and the base rate of pay offered per hour. Employer is an outdoor traveling concessions provider with travel required from event location to event location and provided to work in Maricopa, Pinal and Pima Co.’s, AZ; Clark Co., NV; Alameda, Glenn, Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Diego, Solano, Monterey, Stanislaus and Sonoma Co.’s, CA; Multnomah, Jackson and Linn Co.’s, OR; King, Pierce, Co.’s, WA. Travel provided to all events as per itinerary. Housing and transportation to/from each event location offered to all employees under this job order. Employer makes available transportation from venue to venue.
