***RFI response*** Prepare daily food items such as cookies and wafers in the kitchen by assisting the baker in weighing the ingredients, recording temperature of ovens, packaging the baked cookies and wafers, and displaying the packaged food items for sale. The primary processes involve measuring ingredients, informing the baker when the ovens are not working properly, cooling the baked items in racks, and packaging the food items for display. Help prepare the dough for baking, extract the dough from the ovens, and bag/box the fresh baked cookies using proper safety precautions and sanitary measures. Provide cooks and kitchen staff with needed items. Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware. Carry food supplies, equipment, and utensils to and from storage and work areas. Communicate with customers regarding orders, comments, and complaints. Basic equipment includes baking ovens, weighing scale, measuring cups, and spoons. Tasks, duties, and/or requirements to perform these duties include reading the recipe. Gathering ingredients and ensuring all necessary ingredients are fresh. Measuring ingredients accurately. Recording correct temperature to ensure the cookies and wafers are properly cooked. Maintaining a clean and safe bakery kitchen workspace to prevent contamination and ensure product quality.
