Job Duties: may include maintaining and performing general groundskeeping for existing residential properties by providing upkeep. Shovel snow from walkways and driveways; apply de-icer/spread salt by hand. Operate snow removal tools and equipment such as hand held snow shovels and low-power snow blowers/bobcat (small, entry level tractor) with attachments such as a blower. Prepare/cleanup for upcoming inclement weather events after snow/ice events and other related snow shoveler activities. The employer will offer 40 hours of work per week. Work is performed during a 24 hour period in various shifts. (Shifts are: 9pm – 5am, 3am – 11am, and 8am – 4pm). Work on Saturdays and Sundays may be required depending on weather conditions and needs of the business. Some overtime may be available. Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the U.S. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Basic rate of pay: $24.90 per hour. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at $37.35 per hour. Employer may increase wage based on experience, changes in market conditions, and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure. Hours may fluctuate. An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours in a work week. Workers will be provided with on-the-job training to perform the duties assigned. Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid weekly. Employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law. The employer will provide daily transportation from housing to and from the main worksite, and among all worksite locations. Optional employee housing, including basic utilities, is available at approximately $75 per person per week. If the worker elects to use this housing, the cost will be deducted from their paycheck. Additionally, an optional DOT medical card is available for a one-time fee of $150, which will also be deducted from the paycheck only if the worker elects. If worker completes half the employment period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the employment period or where the worker is dismissed early, the employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68 per day with receipts. If necessary, employer will reimburse worker within first pay period for approved cost of meals and lodging at the applicable exchange rate, not to exceed reasonable costs. Receipts must be submitted. Employer will reimburse H-2B workers in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
