  Deckhands will prepare large or small decked fishing vessels for all fishing activities and use techniques and equipment for planting, growing, culling and harvesting oysters. They will board boats daily and sail to the coastal bays in order to engage in fishing activities. They will gather the oysters from said rivers, bayous, and bays for human consumption. Workers will cull, return undesirable catch back to the water, clean, sack, tag, unload and store catch. Assisting captain at the end of the day to get the vessel ready for the next day and cleaning work area at the end of the work day is also necessary.
